Amigurumi Cat Ballerina Free Crochet Patterns

You will need

Pink felt (for the ears).
Safety eyes.
Tulle or gauze, some lace, satin ribbon.

Head
This part is crocheted in closed rounds, not in a spiral. This means every round is closed with a slipstitch and the next round is started with a 1 chain. These instructions are not included in the description.
In beige:

Fasten off, leave a yarn tail for sewing.
Place the eyes between rounds 15 and 16, about 9 stitches apart.
Embroider the snout with black embroidery thread.
Color the cheeks with some rouge.
Ears
In beige, make two. Crochet in rounds.

Cut two triangles from pink felt and glue or sew them to the ears.
Arms
In beige, make two, work in spirals.

Legs and Body
Make two.
The legs are made separately and crocheted together. Crochet the legs in closed rounds (not spirals).
Start with turquoise yarn.
Chain 5.
Start in the second loop from the hook:
Round 1 – 1 sc, 2 sc in the next two chains, 3 sc in the last chain.
Turn the piece and continue on the other side: 2 sc, 2 sc in the last chain (10).
Round 2 – 1 inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc (16)
Round 3 – 1 inc, 4 sc, 4 inc, 4 sc, 3 inc (24)
Round 4 – 1 sc in each point (24)
Round 5 – 7 sc, 3 dec, 1 sc in every stitch (21)
Switch to beige yarn:
Round 6 – 6 sc, 3 dec, 1 sc in every stitch until the last two stitches, 1 dec (17)

Close each leg with a slipstitch, fasten off and stuff the legs lightly.
Body
In turquoise, work in spirals.
Chain 2. Close one leg with 7 sc (flatten it first), chain 2, flatten the other leg and close it with 7 sc. Chain 2.
You should have a row of 20 stitches.
Crochet sc around in the front and back loops of the previous rows (40), this is round 1.
Round 1 – 40 sc (20 for the front of the row and 20 for the back)
Round 2-7 – 1 sc in every stitch (40)
Round 8 – Repeat (8 sc, 1 dec) (36)
Round 9-11 – 1 sc in every stitch (36)

Sew the head to the body, stitch for stitch.
Glue the lace necklace to the neck.
Sew the arms to the body. Don’t sew them too tightly in order to maintain some mobility.
Sew or glue the tulle skirt to the body and attach the satin ribbon.
Attach turquoise yarn shoelaces to the shoes and tie them to the legs.
