Amigurumi Rainbow Turtle Free Crochet Patterns

You will need
You can use any cotton yarn from your stash with suitable hook size
I used cotton yarn and hook size 2,5 mm

Abbreviations
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dec = decrease
inc = increase
BLO = back loop only
Sl st = slip stitch
St = stitch
Hdc = half double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Body and Legs
For the body I used a different color after every 2 rows. The legs are made in one color.
Ch7. We work around both sides of the foundation chain
R1: in second ch from the hook; inc, 4sc, 5sc in last st. On other side of the chain; 4sc, 3sc in last st. (18)
R2: inc 2 x, 4sc, inc 5 x, 4sc, inc 3 x (28)
R3: (sc in next st, inc) 2 x, 4sc, (sc in next st, inc) repeat 5x, 4sc, (sc in next st, inc) repeat 3 x (38)

R5 – 11: 50sc (50)
R12: 3sc, ch7 (skip7st), 5sc, ch7 (skip 7st), 6sc, ch7 (skip7 st), 5sc, ch7 (skip7st), 3sc (50)

Start making the legs (4 x) in the color of your choice
Attach yarn in the gap you made.
R1: (ch1, sc) in first st, sc in next stitches to complete this round (18)
R2- 3: 18sc (18)
R4: (dec, 4sc) 3x (15)
R5 – 6: 15sc (15)
R7: dec 7x, sc (8) fasten off and leave a yarn tail to close the leg. Weave the yarn through last st to close.
Back to the body:
Attach yarn in color of your choice to the body.
R14: (dec, sc) 12 x (24)
R15: (dec, 2sc) 6 x (18)
R16: (sc, dec) 6 x (12)
R17: dec 6 x (6) fasten off, leaving a tail to close the body. Weave yarn tail through last st to
close the body.
Head
Start with same color you used for the legs
R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
R2: inc 6 x (12)
R3: (sc, inc) 6 x (18)
R4: (2sc, inc) 6 x (24)
R5: 3sc, inc) 6 x (30)
R6 – 9: 30sc (30)
R10: (3sc, dec) 6 x (24)
R11: (2sc, dec) 6 x (18) start stuffing the head
R12: (sc, dec) 6 x (12)
R13 – 15: 12sc (12) fasten off stuff the neck too fold the neck and crochet the opposite st together with sl st. leave a tail to sew the head to the body
Tail
R1: 6sc in magic ring
R2-3: 6sc (6) fasten off, leaving a yarn tail to sew the tail to the body.
Eye (Make 2)
R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
R2: inc 6 x (12) fasten off leaving a tail to sew the eyes to the head.
Embroider with black yarn the eyes and mouth of your turtle.
