Amigurumi Giraffe Free Crochet Patterns

You will need

  • A pair of 6 mm safety eyes

  • 2 small buttons (approx 1 cm diameter)

Notes

Head and body are worked in one piece starting from the head. Ears,
horns, arms, legs and tail are sewn to the body. The dress is worked top
down and has 2 buttons on the back

both pieces.

Arms

Make 2 in light yellow.

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Stuff from rounds 1-5 only

Legs

Make 2 starting in orange.

Change to light yellow.
Rnd 4: working in blo, sc in all 12 st [12]

Tail

Make in light yellow.
Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Slst into the first st, ch10.
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Dress

Make in sea green. Ch 34.
Row 1: skip 6 ch (they will make the buttonhole), sc in next 28 ch, turn [28+buttonhole]
Row 2: ch1, 5sc, ch6, skip 4st, 10sc, ch6, skip 4st, 5sc, turn [20 stitches + 2
arches of 6 ch]
Row 3: ch1, 5sc, 6sc along the ch, 10sc, 6sc along the ch, 5sc, turn [32]
Row 4: ch1, (inc, 7sc) repeat 4 times, turn [36]
Row 5: ch6 (they will make the buttonhole), skip 6ch, sc in all st, turn [36]
Row 6: ch1, sc in all st, turn [36]
Row 7: ch1, (inc, 8sc) repeat 4 times, turn [40]
Row 8: ch1, sc in all st, turn [40]
Row 9: ch2, 2hdc in each st [80]
Fasten off and weave in ends. Sew 2 buttons on the opposite side of the
buttonholes.

Assembly

  • Sew the horns to the head, between rounds 4 and 5.
  • Pinch the ears to form a drop shape. Sew the ears to the head, starting
    from round 7 (2 rounds under the horns).
  • Try on the dress and use sewing pins to mark the arm holes. Then sew the arms in place.
  • Sew the legs between rounds 6 and 10 with an interspace of 6 stitches
    on the front.
  • Sew the tail to the back.
  • Use the orange yarn to embroider little spots on the head and neck. Make
    3 straight stitches across 2 or 3 rounds.
